Getting family/friends to tune remote quality and Plex settings can be painful, especially for the non technical. My feature suggestion is the ability to, from the server settings/devices panel or users panel, configure client settings, especially remote video quality bandwidth.
The user can then get a prompt to accept/reject. To prevent mass spamming of prompts, the end user account can have a tick box in the “users sharing content with you”, preferably per sharer, that says “allow settings recommendations from this user.”
There’s already a suggestion for this.
