Client-Side Option to Hide/Unhide Specific Movies or Series from Library View

In order to give clients some extra customization, allow a client to hide a movie title or series.

A client may want to hide items for a multitude of reasons - perhaps they know they will never be interested in viewing a title, ie hide Star Wars ep 1, 2, 3, from view. Or, perhaps they just want to manually hide SpongeBob movies. Perhaps omitting the Kelvin Timeline from Star Trek suit their fancy when browsing the library.

This allows for additional interaction when viewing different library sources. From a data-aggregation perspective, it allows analyzing of what users choose to not want to see.

Existing workarounds would be something like:

  1. Using watched/unwatched filter - client would need to mark movies they want to see as unwatched and leave movies they don’t want to see listed as watched. This would become an unintended use of watched/unwatched feature.

  2. Rate titles and sort - labor intensive for the client

Posting this suggestion to see if others may find this feature useful.
I understand it’s not a make-or-break kind of feature, but it seems like it would be a treat for clients!

There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option for users to hide shared content they’re not interested in. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.

Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

Thank you. I missed that post in my search pre-posting.
