Cloud Sync (Not Plex Cloud) Playback Error - Server doesn't support video transcoding

I am unable to watch my Cloud Sync content on all devices except for the iOS app.

This issue began a few weeks ago - first noticed Nov 12. Cloud Sync content plays just fine from within the iOS app, however, upon trying to cast to a Chromecast or trying to view via the Plex Web App or Roku an error now comes up. Initially the common error among the different devices was “Your Plex Media Server doesn’t support video transcoding.” And I agree, this is a Cloud Sync library/server…so DON’T try to transcode the content. I’ve made sure all my settings request to stream at the maximum quality in case that was an issue. Seems like a recent update is now requiring content to be transcoded from Cloud Sync libraries - which is wrong. Should be an easy fix!

After the latest Web App update, the error now says:
“An error has occurred trying to play INSERT_CONTENT_TITLE html4 (Codec)”
Not exactly sure what the “html4 (Codec)” error is telling me.

SUCCEEDS: iOS Build 11577 & 12221
I’ll receive the message “Your server is not capable of converting this item for playback at the current quality setting. Would you like to attempt to play the original quality?” And, I’ll say “Yes”, which will start the stream without any issue.

FAILS: Plex Web 3.29.5

FAILS: Roku

FAILS: Chromecast from iOS app
