Additional note, I am using the Docker container provided by linuxserver.io
Earlier today I pulled the latest update of PMS to 1.41.4.9463. I then started to experience issues with obtaining codecs, like many of the other posts.
In my case, it seems the obtained codecs are somehow failing the SHA1 checksum. I have already moved the Codecs folder to Codecs-old to try and get the system to re-download them. Same issue persists.
I can confirm this issue is now resolved. After seeing a Plex Employee ask in another thread for users to give it another shot, I once again deleted the Codecs folder and restarted PMS.
PMS was then able to retrieve the new codecs without issue.
I’m glad that I was only affected by this issue for today – I know some people updated a few days ago and ran into this problem and have been struggling since. Moving forward, I hope that we don’t experience an issue like this again, the whole thing seemed catastrophic!
