So ive been reading more about the Codecs for Raspberry Pi, Should i get these for the RasPlex. i know xmbc can use them but does the RasPlex?
From what I understand is if the PI client does not support the codec the server will auto transcode it when you stream. Just like how all mobile phones are able to stream without issue thanks to the server transcoding for the device.

I'm not sure about this. But the codecs will be used if direct play is enforced...
I have VC1 & MPG2 codec for the PI and it works.

The Pi can't play natively VC1, MPG2 and DTS codec and we have to buy those codec if we want to use it. DTS codec is still not available. When i bought my codec, i ask when it will be available. the answer :
We are hoping to have something to offer in the way of DTS codecs in the next couple of months
