Is there a way in a collection to sort manually. Like the Star Wars Movies in order. Not have the only 2 options be Alphabetical and by date.
No. But you can use the “Sort Title” to get any order you want when sorted alphabetically. For “Star Wars” we have a special situation where the release order has little to do with the order they should be viewed in. (The Hobbit movies are another example.)
I use sort titles like:
Star Wars 1.00
Star Wars 2.00
Star Wars 3.00
Star Wars 3.50
Star Wars 4.00
and so on.
I use numbers like x.xx so that it becomes easy to insert new movies when they make a release that should be between earlier releases. Like they did for:
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Of course this is forced because all the online databases that Plex uses do not have the correct viewing order so Plex has no way to know what order to use unless you tell it.
