The Get Info and View XML are not options available on the duplicate files. The only context menu items in the ellipsis menu are Shuffle, Play Next, Add to Queue, Add to, Visible On, and Delete. The mennu described is available on the correct file.
This screenshot is from a rebuild of this Plex server. So the Bug does not seem to have been fixed with a recent update. I reformatted the RAID on my NAS and then did a clean copy over of media and then reinstalled Plex version PlexMediaServer-1.25.1.5286-34f965be8-MyCloudPR4100_OS5.
Plex is literally scanning my media now. It has already created +40 duplicate movies.
It does indeed say 1 Movie and I think you’ve discovered my ignorance of the subject.. I’ve never used collections and certainly never asked Plex to create them.
However, what criteria is it using to create these collections? There’s no method to the madness that I can see. Now that you’ve identified what I’m looking at, I click on the “Collections” tab and here’s the list…
Thank you. I did find the obscure setting to “Use Collections” in The Movie Database agent. I’ve been running Plex for several years and never had this issue until recently.
I appreciate your diligence in finding the issue for me.
Though those collection names don’t look like they were created based on information from The Movie Database. Could it be you had configured your library to use embedded metadata and those files have an embedded Album tag? Plex will interpret that to be a collection too.
