Collections browsing and the back button behaviour

I just want to raise the issue with the back button when browsing collections in Android TV, specific on the Shield.

When you go into a collection, especially a large one with 100s of films and brows, go into a title to read the synopsis or view a trailer and then back out of the film you are bounced back to the top of the collection.

This used work up until around least Sept/Oct 2020 and since then I have been hoping this would be an easy fix but 6 months on and it’s driving me crazy.

I have noticed if you are browsing the full library the back button takes you back to the row you were browsing which is what the back button should do.

There also seems to be an issue on the Android TV client when in a film and say reading the rotten tomato reviews the screen will just decide to refresh and bounce you back to the top.

Edit: actually looks like browsing the film library in library mode is broken too, if I go down to say where titles begin with C go into a movie and come out I am bounced so the way back to A.

Just giving this a nudge, as it seems like such a simple fix but has been outstanding for so long now. It is this not going to get addressed? Does make browsing large collection frustrating.

Does no one else find this issue annoying? Am I the only one?

Just revisiting this to see if this is listed in the the list of things that might be looked at soon.
