I use plex exclusively to play entries from my own collection, so i’m using “libraries”. But while plex has data about upcoming seasons of a shows, it can only be seen when i add that show to “observed” and open it from there. Since my library contains hundreds of entries, using favorites is not viable. Also, as far as i know, there is no good way to get more info about show (for example where it is available)and access trailers when browsing library.
Is there any way to solve that problems, or plan to add it?
Edit. There is no good option to add shows to observed, at least from webapp. No observe button on show page, only way is to choose show on main library page, and then observe (also, why is there unselect all, but there is no select all?)
To select multiple shows (or movies) click on the first one you want, then CTRL-click on another to select additional items, or SHIFT-click to select all between the two you are clicking on. If you want to select everything in a library, click on the first item, then SHIFT-click on the last item.
What is this ‘observe’ you are talking about? I don’t see that anywhere in the UI.
I believe they are talking about the watchlist where clicking on something opens the universal details page rather then a server specific one for a movie or show.
@mmmalecki I don’t specifically know if any plans to add that to server details pages but I will pass it along.
Sorry for confusion, i was talking about watchlist - apparently it wasn’t translated one to one. Thanks for the tip with shift+click, i have not thought about trying it in a webapp, and honestly it surprised me that it worked.
Exactly, and when i encountered it accidentally for the first time, i was amazed how much data there was - much more insight about actors, director, future episodes/seasons, even with release dates, but to get there is a bit tricky.
