I have selected Merged Recently Added items on my libraries and it’ s great as it shows all the new media added to my Plex Server in one (one for Movies and one for TV) place on my Home screen.
Could there be an option for watched Movies / TV to drop off / out of the Recently Added Movies / TV lists. I know there is the watched flag in the top corner but if it could drop already watched items then the feed won’t be as cluttered.
The recently added items can still show in the libraries if one would like to browse through it.
There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option to hide watched items from the „Recently Added“ hub. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
That being said… you could create a smart collection for that purpose and publish it to your Home Screen.
If I create a smart collection. Is there a way to combine it across multiple libraries? I have a couple of movie libraries to make it easier to navigate through. So how would I create 1 smart collection to include multiple libraries and then to display like recently added on Home
No, smart collections are filtered views of a single library and will therefore only show the content from the library on which they’re based. There’s a suggestion to support cross-library filtering (and in consequence cross-library smart playlists/collections), but this has gotten very little attention so far.
