Love the new “Skip” as opposed to “remove” feature.
What I’d like to see is just like the “Intro” which allows me to skip the intro, I’d like the ability to skip just the current commercial. Currently my only option is to skip “All Commercials” or “none”.
When a commercial “block” is playing, I’d like to hit a “skip” option. Then if I see the amount of programming skipped is wrong I can seek backward or rewind and try again using seek forward instead of “skip”. In 60 Minutes some of the commercial blocks can be 5-6 minutes long, and at the end of the program I have the impression some of the programming I wanted to see was skipped. So rather than selecting to skip -all- detected commercials, I’d like the “skip” feature to only skip the current commercial block. This will allow for easier recovery when detection didn’t quite get it right.
BTW this is how the old ReplayTV units used to work and I really enjoyed this feature.
