Thats what I was thinking of doing also. Debating if I should buy a cheap hdhomerun or get the new ATSC 3.0 model just to future proof myself.
Of course whatever makes sense for you. It was more than I wanted to spend. I read a review don’t recall where that said is was good but not great with 4k. Still a little underpowered. Note for example it will only record 2 channels in 4k. But take that with a grain of salt as this is third hand info. I trust the company so I’m sure it is fine. In my case I only have 1 4k tv and it is not my main tv. For streaming outside the house it is going to be compressed anyway.
Appreciate the help! I bought the 4K flex and love it so far. I kept Tablo just in case my network or plex are down. I may get rid of it if I get Spectrum with DVR as I can record my locals via the cloud and it would be a nice backup if the power or storms kit that knock out the signal. Also its cheaper than Sling right now.
