Ok, let me start by saying I think I’m a Plex/home theater addict. I started setting up my home theater about 9 months ago. Then added Plex about 3 month after. Love it.
My “issue” is the third party viewers, I’m just not finding what I’m looking for and frankly I’m just tired of buying something, hooking up and configuring (hacking - thanks crapple, oops Apple) it, and it isn’t what I’m looking for.
My questions are this - two part:

Is there any place that shows or discusses what the interface of the 3rd party devices looks and feels like? With over 700 movies in my collection, selection can be overwhelming and interface layout goes a long way. To clarify, my setup is working great, but I’m looking for the interface like PHT or the apple app but on a third party device I can connect HDMI to other TVs in the house. See below for some Examples of what I’ve tried.

Is there a 3rd party device I can use that doesn’t have to be local? I.e. My daughter is going away to college in a few weeks. I would like to connect her TV back to my Plex like she was in her room at home.
A couple examples of what I’ve tried. Again, all have connected fine, there is just something I didn’t like about each. And yes, I know I’m being picky, but why not ask the question:
Sony DVD player - works and is one less device as I need a DVD player anyway, but it is just text. No movie poster or preview. You need to know what you want or your screwed. Side note - a DVD player would be best as again, I would have one on each TV anyway. But that is just a wish item.
Apple TV - works with the hack using trailer app and has a nice look/feel, just being picky and want something that says Plex, not trailers. How many times do I have to explain it to in laws. And really Apple, a nice app for the phone and pad, but no app allowed for TV?
Plex Home Theater - again works well. Has the basic look and feel I want, but now I have to keep a keyboard around. I can control my projector, receiver, lights, fireplace, etc with one remote. But I have to keep a wireless keyboard around to use a few arrow keys. And a PHT for each TV isn’t realistic
Playstation - same deal as PHT. Remote issue, and I really don’t want to buy a PS for each TV
I know haven’t tried chrome cast, Roku,and others yet. I was just hoping there is a place I can learn/see the interface before buying more devices, hook them up, and then possibly have to return
