OK, just getting to grips with plex music library. I have a few compilation Albums. But when I view them under albums by title, it shows them as many albums. Now I know they have diff artists but I just want ti to show as 1 album. See attached. How can I do that ?
That should be compilation! How do you edit these things!
in the header of your post next to the date / time you should see a gear icon.
as for the compilation… make sure those songs have the same artist listed as album artist (e.g. something like “Various Artists” or “Compilation”).
Setting the ‘Album Artist’ tag is paramount in Plex.
If you want your sampler to be one album and not many, you must set the ‘Album Artist’ on all tracks of the album to one common artist name. (e.g. ‘Various Artists’)
The ‘Album Title’ tag must also be identical on all tracks. (Which means that ‘Disc n’-type of stuff doesn’t belong in there. There is a separate metatag to indicate the disc number.)
After you have rectified your meta tags, you need to perform the Plex Dance “light”
(“light” = omit step 4)
