I have a windows computer running Plex server. I have two Ethernet connections for separate networks connected to this computer. When both connections are active I cannot connect to Plex server. If I disconnect either Esther eat connection the other will connect. I want to be able to connect through both networks at the same time. Can someone help me with the setup or point me in the right direction to get this setup right. Thanks
Why do you need 2 network connections at the same time? Can try and setup in Plex to use the ip address of the network connection you want to use. Ensure static ip and port forwarding is also setup accordingly.
I’m not sure how to go about doing this on a Windows machine, but on a unix box you’d want to ensure that the PMS services where binding to localhost or 0.0.0.0 rather than a specific interface. This would usually mean that incoming connections on port 32400 on any interface would connect to PMS. If, however, you bind to a specific interface or IP address it will only respond on that.
The "Preferred Network Interface’ option in PMSs Network settings page may be the place to look. Make sure this is set to ‘Any’ and give it a try.
