Constant buffering streaming Live TV from local cable box

Direct Streaming live tv from my local cable box was unwatchable due to buffering every few seconds. Immediately rolled back to version 1.43.0.10467 and the problems disappeared.

See from 6pm in the log.

edit: the PMS log not mentioning the buffering seen in Tatutlli, although looking at the history, it does this even with the older server that works fine.

Having similar issues on latest Plex Media Server versions as well.

I’ve reinstalled this and it’s working fine, now.

I believe this was fixed by changing Transcode Quality from 49 to 99 in Live TV & DVR > Channel Sources > My Guide > Device Settings.

I did this a week back and it cured audio drift that often occurred when switching to some channels.

edit : and of course audio drift returned as I was typing the above reply - have unticked Settings > Player > Use Hardware Decoding again to hopefully fix - IT DID FIX IT.

edit 2: also, not seeing this as much - just for a few seconds when switching channel, but not continuously as before:
