The Watchlist is hosted online by Plex itself and offers no mechanism for clearing it in bulk. Mine has grown so large that it generally fails to load at all, simply giving me the following error most of the time when I simply try to look at it:
Something went wrong
An unexpected error occurred.
I cannot do anything to reduce the watchlist size either manually in a Plex client or with a script using the Plex API because it almost always errors just trying to load it.
As mentioned I have written a script to bulk clean the Watchlist but it cannot load the Watchlist either, getting this error: “BadRequest('(504) gateway_timeout; https://discover.provider.plex.tv/library/sections/watchlist/”
Could use a hand wiping the list out or fixing the constant timeouts. I have wanted to fix this for years.
