Using Apple TV or my NVIDIA Shield, I keep getting certain videos that stop and freeze on the screen and the error complains of not enough bandwidth. Both the server and the clients have a 1Gbps hardwired ethernet connection.
I am running the latest server version, and I’m not sure what the nex steps are. Logs attached while Spaceballs was playing / freezing.
I will also note, that I can play that same content via my PC error free.
Installed Kodi, and used their client, and I no longer have the issue. This points to a plex client problem.
Streaming via PC / Web-Broswer works just fine, if I use the official Plex apps the issue returns.
Wish I would have noticed this before I created my own post. Same issue and same diagnosis between Shield and PC. What I find odd about the error is for me it always hangs with a bandwidth error in the same place which would seem like a file issue but plays fine on other devices.
EDIT: Note I installed Emby and it played without issue
Uncheck verbose logging under server settings, because of this the logs only cover a period from 3:57 AM to 4:03 AM. It’s also helpful to recreate the problem and then download/upload the logs naming the time and what you tried to play.
