Everything is giving me not enough bandwidth since yesterday, but I haven't changed any settings

Plex server, beta with Plex pass, running on latest Windows 10. Since yesterday, everything on Plex gives me the error that that isn’t enough bandwidth to play the file.

TV is 100mbps wired to my gigabit network with gigabit FiOS. The error is shown when streaming locally and remote. Content that has always worked is no longer working.

What I’ve tried:
-restarted router and all access points
-restarted Plex
-restarted computer Plex is on
-restarted TV player is on
-set the upload limit in Plex to 960mbps

Anyone else having this issue? Can anybody help remedy this frustrating situation?

Edit: Update: it seems to only be crashing with videos that need their audio transcoded, even though I have verified the video is not being transcoded. An i7 2600K can no longer transcode a single audio track while muxing a video track?

Update 2: I did update GeForce drivers. So I disabled hardware acceleration. If I tried to resume, the playback still failed. If I started from the beginning, it not only works, but video playback starts much quicker. Maybe I didn’t get the memo to disable hardware acceleration on Windows?

Still having issues with random files. Low bitrate files crashing the server with a generic error message. This is when streaming remotely. Anybody?

It’s hard to pin down what’s actually going wrong – you seem to describe a number of issues (or trying to fix things that appear to be unrelated to a bandwidth issue).

Best start for troubleshooting might be to take a look at the Now Playing tile on the server’s dashboard while streaming. I’ll be particularly interested if the stream is listed as local, remote or indirect – similarly interested in what parts of the stream are being transcoded.

Otherwise server logs might help.
