i would like this feature. controlling time between episodes would be great also.

Ideally this would work like netflix. Start a timer for the next episode when the credits of the currently playing episode begin.
I dont know if i can put up with this as is, im hoping i can find another player i can stream to from my server that will not give me this problem.
I cant believe plex has come this far and has yet to do thisā¦

Youāre going to have to switch. As you can see this thread ha been going on for over a year. I left for Emby this Summer and it works how I want. Itās such a bummer too because plex has been my jam for a long time.

Tons of your paid customers want 2 things fixed please, we can wait another year and a half if we have to.
I appreciate the hard work of the developers and the entire staff, but you guys are killing me, is this an issue that will be swept under the rug forever? Is there some sort of problem stopping this from being figured out?
When we watch a TV series on PLEX, we donāt want a mandatory countdown to wait for the next episode to start. PLEASE make this a toggle, people who want it, can leave it on. Those of us who prefer our Plex to continuously autoplay the series, will turn it off, and we will be happy.
We also just request that shows donāt just end after 1.5hrs/whatever algorithm is controlling this of watching episodes, when we all go to sleep, we turn on PLEX, we expect PLEX to be playing what we turned on when we wake up, just like a Television from even the 90s.
These two issues are being echoed by dozens of users, and they are very simple requests. You have paid users switching to your competition because of the lack of support here.
Please help us, please fix these minor issues so we can continue to recommend your product to friends and family, can we please get a developer/employee to update here? HELP PLEASE

Thatās odd mine seems to go for like 10 episodes before it stops
Depends on your device, a roku will continue playing, my android tablet will stop after 1.5hrs and my mibox will stop after every damn episode! Every one! Drives me mad

I wish I had found this thread before buying plex pass, least I have some time to research Emby I reckon.
About to be moving to a new house, and continuous autoplay is very important to my setup as my mother sleeps to a few shows.

I know it donāt matter. And I know plex couldnāt care less. But Iām canceling my premium sub and changing media servers because of this.
Theyāre not going to fix it because they donāt care. They think they know how we should watch our own media, on our own networks.
Well. Time to find some devs. who actually know what I want.

Adding my vote to the bunch. Clearly this is a much wanted feature and I donāt see why it shouldnāt be supported. Pass-out protection is a good feature, but if a user doesnāt want it then let them turn it off.
The more things are configurable, the more the application can be bent to the (paying) userās wishes. Sounds like a good motivator!
Certainly more interesting than yet another dashboard changeā¦

Bumping. Plex this should be a priority. Wish I hadnāt bought lifetime so I could speak with my wallet on this one but still considering migrating to a new platform this support level is unacceptable

+1 to this. Been a user of Plex for a very long time, and Iām a person who absolutely needs a TV to sleep, I put on a random show that Iāve seen a thousand times and I watch(listen) that. I am not making a playlist for what Iām feeling each night. I get thereās big fish to fry, but I really donāt see why this just isnāt an option. I donāt want to switch, but hands are getting tied.

This topic has gone on entirely too long. Obviously no desire from Devs to change this feature. To worried about putting Atari games on Plex, which nobody wanted. The only client device I have that does NOT have this problem is my raspberrie pi (plex pi). I can start a series with it and it will play every last episodeā¦ So I know it can be done.

Repeat used to work fine just until recently. Some change has been made to the android client and even if i select repeat all it stops playing after a while.
This is a huge deal-breaker for me since Iāve been using plex to help me sleep at night by having it running continuously.
This MUST be user or server configurable.

Itās possible there is some other bug that is causing the playback to stop. That has nothing to do with the autoplay feature. Please start a new thread with logs and I will take a look.

Another +1 vote for continuous play. Donāt need fancy. Either ignore the 2 hour limit, or let me set the limit to whatever value I want. Donāt overcomplicate it with a bunch of bells and whistles, I donāt even need a UI just a setting/flag somewhere I can set on the server.
Plex should play until I tell it to stop.
Hope this gets fixed.
