I routinely download movies onto my laptop and attempt to watch them on the plane. I feel like 3 of the last 4 times I’ve tried to do this, I get this error. I’ll be in airplane mode and start up Plex. It asks for elevation to install an update, and I let the update go through. Then it gives me this error.
This is just incredibly frustrating. Does it not download the required codecs for viewing when the movie is downloaded? Is it forgetting the codecs somehow? The playback works fine after reconnecting to the internet, presumably because it can then install the codec.
