Conversion failed. The transcoder failed to start up

Just had to reformat my computer so trying to get Plex set back up but keep running into issues trying to get my media to play. Never had these issues and can’t find any fixes that work with the research I’ve done so far. I would appreciate any help.

System: Windows
Version 1.14.1.5488
Plex Media Server Log: https://pastebin.com/euPkXeTt

Whenever I try to play any media it keeps giving me the following error “Conversion failed. The transcoder failed to start up.”, and sometimes this error “Conversion failed. A required codec could not be found or failed to install.”

I’ve tried reinstalling Plex, restarting my computer each time but have had no changes what so ever. I don’t really even know where to begin to try to fix this issue. If that is the wrong log please let me know which one I need to upload.

These look important.

That bottom entry seems to be an error response to “too many requests”. No idea what the higher 200 error is about. I’d search the web for Plex and “Unexpected error configuring transcoder: boost::filesystem::unique_path: Keyset as registered is invalid”

Thanks for the log.
I can see this error

Feb 07, 2019 01:25:30.975 [14920] ERROR - Unexpected error configuring transcoder: boost::filesystem::unique_path: Keyset as registered is invalid

This is a windows issue and there are steps to resolve this outlined here
https://support.plex.tv/articles/227341367-windows-key-not-valid-for-use-in-specified-state-error-and-transcoding-analysis-issues/

Did this actually work? I just posted about a similar problem and the solution here didn’t work for me.

I just looked at your logs here First time error: Conversion failed. The transcoder failed to start up and i do not see a similar error Unexpected error configuring transcoder: boost::filesystem::unique_path: Keyset as registered is invalid

Your issues appear to be because you are trying to place the transcoder temp directory in the windows locked down area reserved for executable programs "C:\Program Files (x86)"
