"Playback Error" Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error

This issue came out suddenly without a update and i cannot seem to find out what triggers it so i hope someone can look at the logs and hopefully tell me how to fix it as anything involving the transcoder seems to be effected.

This might be the issue:

Thanks to anyone looking at this.

Plex media server 1.13.5.5291 (BETA branch) it failed in the public branch and then i tried the beta branch to see if it resolved it and it sadly didn’t.
Windows 10 x64

I’m now having the same issue, Windows 8.1. Where are the log files located at and I’ll post mine as well.

Here you go:

There are several other threads dealing with the Transcoder that all have the same solution for Windows 10. Here is one of the ones I have posted on in the last day, Conversion Failed. Transcoder Exited due to an error - #4 by johnm_ColaSC.

Ok here is mine, maybe I should start a new thread:

Aug 06, 2018 18:36:08.636 [6172] ERROR - [Transcoder] Could not write header for output file #0 (incorrect codec parameters ?): No such file or directory
Aug 06, 2018 18:36:08.648 [6480] ERROR - [Transcoder]
Aug 06, 2018 18:36:08.654 [6816] DEBUG - Jobs: ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\Plex\Plex Media Server\PlexTranscoder.exe’ exit code for process 10228 is 1 (failure)

Guess i failed in finding that solution so thanks for that. It compleetly resolved my issue.

I have windows 7 and my last update was back in July… and it just started happening for me a couple days ago… so it must be an update with Plex somewhere along the line.

I have the same Windows 7 problem. It is intermittent, but once it starts, it happens frequently.

Same on windows 8, will have to post logs tomorrow.

Just FYI this appears to have solved my issue–no transcoder errors since I manually did those updates. Thanks so much!
