Hey! Can you please help me with the following issue? Thanks in advance!
Independently of where (Web App, TV App, XBOX One App, PS4 App), when a person is remotely streaming my files the transcode will fail about 30 min or so after the playback starts, the following message will then appear: “Conversion Failed. Transcoder crashed or failed to start up”.
After that, it usually plays normally after the app is rebooted and then happens again. For a 2 hour-long movie, it would often happen three times until the movie ends.
I tried changing the transcode folder to a temp directory, changed some settings like the transcode quality, which was “make my CPU hurt” to “Automatic” and the same error occurred but, instead of 30 min after playback, it happened around 1 hour after.
Some useful info:
- This has started happening two updates ago.
- I am running the server in a Windows Desktop
- Plex Media Server Version 1.19.2.2737
- Transcode has to happen to almost all my movies since I use subtitles.
- I was trying to watch Her and the error occurred around 8:26 pm
