Copy media from external HD to the Please storage drive/movies folder

I have an external USB drive that has movies on it, I have configured linux to recognize it no problems there, how do I copy the file from the external drive to the flex drive

Plex Media Server does not need media copied.

What you might need to do, which I will assume, is to set permissions such that they can be seen by Plex while still being owned by you.
