Correctly identify & display Dolby Atmos, dts:X, and dts-HD MA audio tracks in Plex clients

I just tried to run a search for all Atmos audio track in my library and then realized that plex doesn’t even the label the movies this way in it’s web client! Please add the correct labels and allow us to search on these codecs. This should be a no-brainer with limited impact on your metadata search algorithms.

We need this!

Voted as well. Latest versions of MediaInfo all help differentiate these codecs, and I would be more than happy to reanalyze my libraries to get the proper codecs listed

I just upgraded to an Atmos-capable receiver and speakers, I find myself sorely wishing for this! Voted

YES!!! I am facing this now, we need this.

How has this still not been implemented. Almost all new movies I add to my library have either a Dolby Atmos or DTS X track would be great to actually know what format audio tracks are in.

Since more and more movies are released with Atmos, I hope this is something that is added sooner rather than later.

They used to do this a long time ago and then took it away. They had Dolby True-HD, Atmos, DTS Etc along with channel/network/studio logos as well. Then it all went away after an update with rumblings of licensing or something along those lines. What I don’t understand is why not just create a place holder and let users upload an image/logo of their choosing representing each field. Seems like an easy enough work around? Or let users buy/license an “Icon/logo pack” even.

I wouldn’t even need a logo. Just some way of knowing which codec it uses!
Ideally I’d like to make smart playlists or filters using this info.

3 years later and we still can’t identify atmos tracks?

Any update on getting this implemented?

Do anyone know how to get attention to get it done before the end of the decade…

Yes please implement this!

just use flac

Literally defeats the purpose of having height channels at all. Flac supports at most 7.1 2d audio. Does not support 3D audio such as DTS:X or Dolby Atmos. Plex PLAYS all of those files, just does not show that they ARE those files. Which is what the feature request is, and why it’s needed.

Add another user to this feature request. ATMOS and DTS-X have been out for years but Plex is still unable to properly identify and display these codecs.

Going to add my vote to this as well. Would love to identify by Dolby Atmos
