yes! please do this!
+1 and if logos and names is a problem at least brand the titles with “something” that have Atmos, like “object based audio”

+1 This implemantation would be great and usefulf.
And voted.
You have my vote. The topic “correct display of formats” should definitely be improved. If there are problems with the name rights, you can also think of shortcuts or something else. DD+ 7.1 is also not recognized correctly:
The same should be done for the video formats. HDR10+ and Dolby Vision etc.
+1 got my vote! Seems like a no-brainer now that Plex is starting to support Dolby Vision much better since the MakeMKV updates.
Seems simple enough, come on plex…easy win here

+1 Please implement this
Just came to look into this and why Plex was unable to display Atmos movies… Found posts from up to 4 years ago, with people asking the same thing. How on earth has this not been sorted yet? It seems like it should be such a simple thing to implement, and absolutely essential for users to organize media. Absolutely crazy.
I support this. Proper identification of audio formats and HDR formats (HDR10, HDR10+ and DV) is a must please.
Okay, just adding my voice to the obvious (if logos are a problem the word “Atmos” cannot possibly be copyrighted – and if it IS then just use A+ or something that cannot possibly be forbidden).
Given the votes I can’t believe this isn’t like the #1 request of everyone. Just do it for God’s sake (couldn’t possibly take more than an hour to program).
bumping this thread
Voted.
This is such a basic request and something that just should be present, it’s comical to even call it a ‘feature’.
Do we have any movement on this post or an explanation as to why there clearly appears to be such reluctance to implement?
Just the usual attitude of Plex towards its customers!!
+1 and voted, really need this feature with more and more high quality movies coming through
Progress on Android mobile & TV devices
Plex for Android 8.12.0.22456-beta
- Preplay: Show HD suffix for DTS-HD audio.
- Player: Include stream title when available in stream selections.
Voted! I’m running a 7.1.4 home theatre and it’s driving me crazy that it’s so difficult to ascertain which files have Atmos and which do not.

The fact that this thread is 3.5 years old and there is not a single response from the Plex Team other than “the logos are copyrighted, I’ll leave it at that”, shows how much Plex openly hates their users.
Don’t use the logo for ■■■■ sake, just write it out in text!
This is absolute Insanity, yet so easy to fix. I would like to create collections with these, but no, you can’t have that. No soup for you! What can we do to be more vocal about this and get some traction?
COME ON MAN!!! how many upvotes does it take?
