Coverator - A tool to create customized covers for movies!

Hey there!

I quickly want to present an application I created and used for quite a while now. I thought I might share it, maybe other people can use it as well.

Prepare for:

Coverator!
A simple tool for creating custom covers by combining overlays!

It basically makes your library look more uniform and beautiful:

Features:

  • find different covers for a movie
  • export the cover you like for easy use in Plex
  • you can export different resolutions depending on what you need
  • you can overlay version presets (for example: bluray, uhd-bluray,etc.)
  • you can overlay edition presets (for example: extended edition, theatrical cut, director’s cut,etc.)
  • you can add your own custom overlays!

Tutorial:

ignore the TMDB API Key part, it has been removed!

Additional Notes:

  • Since it’s an .exe I created, you antivirus might not like it.
  • For now it’s limited to movies only, but maybe I will also add shows or collections at some point in the future.

Just have to get the TMDB API first.

You should tell us what to put in the fields (like description, application name, url and so on)

If you mean the fields in the settings, you can just hover over them with your mouse to get a detailed description!

Nah, i got that.

I mean when you have to get the API key from TMDB (or you don’t get much posters), they ask you the application name, its url, a description of what it does. So i did put :
Coverator
the link you gave for the exe as url
and “A simple tool for creating custom covers by combining overlays!” as description.

Was thinking you might want something that promote your works a bit more in the description for instance.

Thanks for the feedback!

I created my API Key a long time ago, so i wasn’t quite sure what you have to enter there.
Anyway, I just removed the whole TMDB Api Key part, so it is no longer required to enter it!
You can just download the updated version of the tool!

I hope that makes it a lot easier!
