Today I updated my Plex to the latest version, but after that the transcoder according to the synology is consuming 100%

I have changed the settings to Ultra Fast in the preset and even limited simultaneous conversions and no change. How can I downgrade to the previous version as this is clearly not working for me?

If you would please turn off VERBOSE logging (it is off by default).
Keep DEBUG logging on.
Restart PMS

Recreate the problem.

Then stop after about 30 seconds
Wait another 30 seconds
Download and attach the logs.

Thanks

Does that mean I cant use subtitles? Yeah I noticed it had subs and were not showing… turned them offf and on 9%… WTF haha

What setting do you have in the Plex app for Video -> Burn Subtitles?

It means:

  1. Check the type of subtitle. Hover over it -> Get Info. Look for the type.
  2. Text -based subtitles can be streamed (SRT, ASS, SSA)
  3. Image-based subtitles (PGS, VOBSUB, DVDRIP) must be burned because TV’s don’t handle that. (normally a bluray player would do the burning in specialized hardware)

The alternative is to pre-burn the subtitles into the video with HandBrake.

What version of the Plex app is installed on your FireStick 4K? Go to the app settings and look in the lower right corner of the screen.

Check the Plex app settings on your FireStick 4K.

  • Video → Burn Subtitles = Auto
  • Advanced → Enable New Video Player = On

For the MKV container, the Plex app on the FireStick 4K direct plays embedded PGS subtitles and external SRT subtitles.
For the MP4 container it direct plays external SRT subtitles.

I noticed E9 - Marionette is in an AVI container. I do not know if that makes a difference (I’ve no AVIs in my library).

I’m testing with:
AFTV 4K ← HDMI → LG B7 OLED ← HDMI-ARC → Denon 4300
Plex Client: 8.6.0.20351 ← current version in Amazon app store
Plex Media Server: 1.20.1.3252 on DS918+
