[Crash] Plex App (Android) crashes starting playing some contents

Hi,
some months ago I’ve ripped with DVDFab some DVD in H264/MKV format.
This contents works good on Android TV (tested on Sony BRAVIA KD-55XE8096 with Android 9.0 and on Mi Box S with Android 8.1), on Plex for Windows 10 and via Web, but makes Plex app crash immediately on Android mobile devices by pressing “Play” (tested on LG G4 (H815) with Android 6.0 and on Huawei P30 Lite New Edition with Android 9.0)

Attached the crash log dumped with Android Debug enabled (crash begins at line 3403) and the MediaInfo of one of the file that makes Plex app crash.

I’m having this same issue. Playing certain content (but not all) causes the app to crash. I have noticed this issue on an Amazon Fire 10 (latest generation), a Google Pixel 3XL, and a Google Pixel 4a (5G). I haven’t gathered debug logs yet, or identified any differences between media that works and media that causes the crash. I have been noticing this issue for about 2 months now.

I have tried signing out and back in, updating the app, clearing the app data, and re-installing the app.

Bump, similar on Op7 pro. Android 11. It appears my issue is similar. Normal MP4 file, fine. MP4 + .ass subtitles - crash. Same combo works on web player and firestick, but phone and Xbox series X app, no juice. This worked fine few weeks ago.

Actually, the firestick crashes too when .ass subs active.

I can confirm that subs make Plex app crash. Mine are VobSub and if they’re flagged as “forced” in the mkv file Plex will crash instantly.
I’m doing more tests to understand where is the problem.
PS: Plex App crash when I try to send debug data to the server… -___-
