Create a plex pass category on the forums.
Why???
I thought paying customers should get a dedicated space.
But, why???
What would be the gain or the need? I have a Plex Pass under a different user name but I do not use that name on the forums. I cannot figure what I would gain by such a separate area.
Not every user with a Plex Pass needs to be isolated from the lesser users and most “lesser” users would benefit by being able to see and interact with posts specializing in Plex Pass features.
Isolating the elites from the normals is wrong for society in general and equally as wrong for companies and users. It just seems to address a problem that does not exist and has a high potential to create new and more serious problems.
It’s not about lesser or greater.
It’s just a single place to put any plex pass feature issues.
Streamlining.
Sounds a bit like the “Separate but equal” doctrine. It just seems totally unnecessary and its only redeeming feature is that it keeps different strata of the population separate so they do not get in each other’s way.
If you isolate Plex Pass features so they do not show/attract the non-Plex Pass users then those users may not ever know what the advantages are for having a Plex Pass.
I just think it is a horrible idea that would only serve to create a have/have not feeling about Plex. Particularly new users.
I see a LOT of downside and very little upside but it is not my decision so I will divorce myself from the discussion as it will not, probably, affect me whichever way it goes.
We used to have one but it just does not work in reality. It only turns into a space where folks think they will get special one on one help with anything, whether it was related to Plex Pass or not.
