Crestron Module for PHT

I might be able to help.  I'm an avid Plex user, and a Crestron programmer :-)

Currently I have Plex running on a Roku, a Samsung BluRay, and a few Android clients.  I'd love to be able to control them over the network.

I know there's a Roku module for IP control, but I hate the Roku's GUI, and don't plan to keep it in the system.

Give me a few days to cleanup my simpl+ code and I'll send you a message

You have a message waiting.......

Got it.

I can test your module too if needed.

Hi,

I'm having a bit of a problem with this Crestron module you've put on Github.  Hopefully you can tell me what I'm doing wrong.  I've added the module to my user library, it appears in the Symbol Library and I'm able to drag it into my own project.  However, when the symbol appears in the Detail View, none of the inputs or outputs have any labels (other than i1, i2, i3, i4).  This is weird, since you've clearly labelled them in your Argument Definition in the actual user module.      Ah I found a fix - opened the user module in a separate instance of SIMPL Windows, then simply re-saved it as "-mk2.umc" and dragged that resaved module into my project - the I/O names all show up (including the nice grouping you did).

Weird eh?  Thought rather than cancel my forum post, I'd post this anyway in case someone else out there ever has the same issue...

eleese found a few glitches in the module, I’m fixing them and I’ll send out an updated as soon as I can!

Hi,

I would love to help test this module. Im a Crestron programmer as well so might be able to help with anything outstanding!!

Thanks

Is there any activity on this?

Would really love to test this on my Crestron system.

Thanks

I was never able to get it to work, but I was testing with an Android client and think that may have something to do with it.  Unfortunately, I haven't had time to WireShark it, and see what's going on...

Is anybody willing to share the module/code?

Have tried PM'ing sandman but not had any reply.

Thanks

I’d be interested in this as well. I have a working module for the original Plex desktop that I’ve been using for a couple of years now, but I wouldn’t mind finally making the switch the PHT. Anyone have a module that supplies metadata or album artwork?

Please add me to the list. the github module I have shows no labels on the inputs. all XBMC modules I have tried failed.

I will attempt one myself if some on can point me in the right direction for JSON commands that are being used.

Sorry, I've had a lot on my plate and now I have a baby on the way :o

the module is working but I'm still adding features and fixes... this is what I have so far... let me know what you think

Thanks and congrats on the baby! The module is password protected. Can you message me the password to play around with this? Thank you much!

Congrats dude!

Ever considered uploading this to GitHub?

Appreciate that you take time from your busy life to do this. As a Crestron programmer this is awesome and just adds to the already existing motivation :)

Edit: Whaazzz? Pazzword protected? Damn.. hehe

Edit and edit

Yes.

Crestron-PlexHT

Hi. I Was wondering if you are still developing/updating your Crestron module for Plex. We are implementing Plex to an all-house AV solution with Crestron being the main controller. Would be great to be able to control Plex via Creston touch panel and/or Crestron iOS App.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

I don't have plans to create a 2-way module but I do have an update ready which includes numeric input support. The latest version of PlexHT appears to have broken these controls at the Plex/Home user password screen so until this gets resolved I don't plan on releasing the update. The current version does work if you need 1-way PlexHT control.
