Now that PlexAmp is free to use, one would think the company would be more focused on providing pretty basic audio features such as this?

This would be pretty amazing a feature to implement for Plexamp’s sake alone. I can only imagine ripping my CDs and not having to cuesplit them just for Plex (resulting in double-ups in files and storage consumption)
This would be a feature audio enthusiasts would flock over to the platform for if they weren’t already here.
It’s, discouraging to see this has been open since 2015 with no action.
Add .cue support please.
It’s also useful for playing Audiobooks files in .mb4 + .cue
Simply unacceptable, shame on Plex!
In 2023, there is absolutely no good reason for Plex NOT to have CUE support.
If CUE support is not added, I won’t be able to use Plex for much longer.

Yes, please implement this feature. I’m pretty lazy whilst ripping my CDs and Vinyls, and use CUE to play individual tracks. It would be great if Plex also could understand CUEs and show tracks instead of full album dumps.
PlexAmp is being a wonderful player for iOS (it has it quirks with downloads, but overall it’s great). Sometimes I just want to show off my friends how my ripped and processed track sounds like, the track that they know and like also, but it gets a bit irritating to search for the track starting time on a little phone screen…
As this issue doesn’t get any traction and the code is closed, I think the only way for me is to start cutting the tracks myself…

+1 this is very important for anyone who respects their ears. And it’s not impossible. You don’t want to switch from Plex to another application just for the sake of music, just because the cue is not read and flac album divided into songs.

Such a pain to split my collection… Let alone the non-existant gapless audio play on mixed albums triggers me every track when splitted.

Please, implement this. I have a lot of 1 file & .cue albums stored, right now it’s a mess in Plex (Amp) because of this

Adding most wanted feature to Plex takes more time and effort than putting U.S. Constitution amendment through both houses of parliament.
After 10 years of picketing… nothing came.
Time to pack our tents and go. One last thing to try - someone ask Elon Musk buy Plex to prioritise this issue. We have thousands of people waiting and voting for this feature, chances are someone here knows Elon Musk…
