[FEATURE REQUEST] Cue sheet file support for music albums

It has been discussed in the past but no official reply has been provided, so I’ll try a formal request here:
Please add support for cue sheet file format, and embedded cue sheet in FLAC files as well.
I usually backup my audio CDs in this format since it’s the preferred method by audiophiles and it would be great to be able to listen to these in Plex.

Cue support would be great.
I have one question: WILL THERE EVER BE SUPPORT FOR QUE SHEET MUSIC FILES???

Not sure for external cue sheets, but I believe embedded cue sheet in flac files would pretty easy to implement, since it’s already supported by the python library (Mutagen) used in the Scanners.bundle code.
It’s just being ignored right now.

I am also interested in cuesheet support. Kodi is already able to do this, so it might be good to see how they do it.

Yes, please add external cue sheet support in plex server.

This is THE big missing feature for me. XBMC has CUE support since forever, I wonder why Plex doesn’t, being a fork and all…

Yes this is an IMPORTANT feature for Plex, full FLAC album with cue for each title

There is an existing request for this feature. Best thing to do is to vote in one thread by clicking ‘Like’ on the first message in the thread.

Thanks for your link @beckfield I wasn’t a Plex Pass member until a few weeks and couldn’t view it. Let’s all move on that thread if you can!
