Forgive me if this is not the right channel for this type of question, please point me in the right direction if that is the case.
I have a custom library of multiple seasons of 8 different shows. As I add to the library with new seasons, is there a way to configure the playback of an individual library to prioritize the episodes by amount of times they have been viewed? This way newly added stuff gets right to the top whereas the stuff I have seen multiple times will be put at the bottom of the list?
Do you watch episodes randomly regardless of their intended order. Maybe they are not a story and order doesn’t matter like news? just trying to understand why Recently Added or On Deck does not work for you.
Sorry should have clarified. I do watch on random more often than not, because the episodes are not story based (stuff like Family Guy, Seinfeld, etc), but I find the randomizer is not the greatest and tend to see certain episodes over and over again while never seeing others. Is it possible to configure the randomizer to put an emphasis on the unwatched?
I don’t know of a way to force shuffle to do that. You filter by only Unplayed and sort by last episode added but that will only offer unplayed things.
You could play around with custom filter options and create a smart playlist out of it but off the top of my head i can’t think of any way to make shuffle prioritize new stuff by default.
