Hi everyone,
One thing that I have not figured out, is how to deal with merged episodes. For example, the season premier of Survivor was a 2 hour episode. The TVDB lists it as Survivor - S36E01-02. When you see it listed in Plex, it is listed as 2 separate episodes. If you start playing the season, it will play the file twice. This has been something that has always happened and I’m sure that it is just a setting that needs to be changed, but I’m not sure which one or where to find it. Any help would be appreciated!

It is not a setting, unfortunately.
Just rename the file to Survivor - S36E01
Leave out episode number 02
This is the only approach which saves you from manually marking those double episodes as watched, so you don’t have to see them twice.
Plex doesn’t mind the missing episode number. It will happily jumps from episode 1 to episode 3 when you are watching the series.
You might want to edit the description of episode 1 and add a remark that this is a double episode, so you don’t go on the hunt for a missing episode later
