Debian Repo Package not available to download

Server Version#: 1.43.0.0.10467
Player Version#: N/A

It looks like with Debian, the APT repository is pointing to file that is not available from the AWS bucket for some reason. Perhaps this is just an AWS permissions issue at Plex ?

This is the error message from the debian apt upgrade:

Err:1 https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb public/main amd64 plexmediaserver amd64 1.43.0.10467-2b1ba6e69
403 Forbidden [IP: <hidden> 443]
E: Failed to fetch https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/pool/main/p/plexmediaserver/plexmediaserver_1.43.0.10467-2b1ba6e69_amd64.deb 403 Forbidden

When accessing the file directly the error message from the AWS Bucket is :

Access Denied

This is served from the repo :

https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb

which is also serving up errors from the AWS bucket:

I’m having the same issue. I just installed (yesterday) debian 13.3 on bare metal for a headless dedicated plex server. all was going smoothly until i finally went to run the plex install.

Not sure If i should try work-arounds or wait until they fix it.. IF they fix it any time soon..

Sticking with win11 is looking better and better..

Unhelpful response. Point me at the solution, I wouldn’t be posting here if I knew where to look.

Have a look at the first post in this thread, specifically the last paragraph. It shows instructions for setting up the new repository via a Plex-provided script.

There is a search function on these forums. However, thanks to @pshanew, you can just click on the link provided.

While I understand that are all of us are upset at the devs making Plex worse and worse with their decisions. Lets at least be nice to each other. If all you are going to post is RTFM, then just dont post. Telling someone to go figure it out just makes you a bully.

Thank you.

You’re welcome!

There is no bullying here. It is tiring seeing helpless people posting things seemingly without even trying to find the information themselves.

There we go, that is far closer to bullying.

Folks,
Please remember community guidelines.

Mod - in my opinion. That’s way too sensitive to take down my last post. No one is abusing anything. I’m on topic - some people need manner lessons. I’m done if we can leave it all alone ?

The topic is the Repository. Calling someone a Richard is not On-Topic.
