Will this come to iPads eventually?
IPad is one of the major platforms on my server.
We’re currently primarily targeting TV platforms for this first phase, and will revisit others after.
Thanks for the info, but that makes @sixxnet conversation very relevant to the feature request.
Did not know you guys rolled it out to all AndroidTV clients yet, good to know!
Gonna plug my tv in later to test.
The plex app in one of my firestick 4K (non-Max) clients is at 9.15.0.38159 but I don’t see that setting. Any ideas why? I know one of my users with the same client device had that setting since a few weeks ago.
If it’s about a specific script someone has written to achieve a certain outcome, it, and any associated questions, should be in a different thread than a feature request.
Do you not see it under video settings in the app? Can you post a screenshot of what you see, please?
Here you go:

That’s bizarre. Let me dig into things on our side.
Not available on Amazon Fire TV here either.
I do not have the option either on my Sony Bravia TV. Looks exactly like what kevindd992002 posted
Does that include Roku?
Bravia Android TV (or Google TV; I never remember the difference) running 9.16. I’m on the beta channel if that makes any difference.
I had a system update pending for my TV. After installing that the option showed up.
Unfortunately I can’t test easily on my TVs because they’re all local. Is this going to be expanded to local networks in the future?
Can you post a pic of the settings how it should look?
Why … wait … what?
Isn’t the default for Home streaming already Maximum?
I forgot about that. Maybe it makes sense ![]()
As local already defaults to Maximum, we don’t currently have any plans to bring this to local networks. Roku is also included as a TV platform (think along the lines of anything on/connected to a TV with a 10 foot UI
)
Mmmmm, sounds exactly like my various family members HTPC’s ![]()
Hum also @DaveBinM question for you, as the suggestion will be on by default, I guess the remote quality will be also set to “maximum” by default as there is no more reason to set it at 720p?
Yes, that was mentioned further up.
