Define Custom Trailers for Movie Library Collections

My use case: I’ve purchased many short films over the years that screened at the Sundance Film Festival. I have them organized into collections by year and will occasionally watch several films from a particular year in one sitting and I’d like a specific trailer to play before the collection starts. Also, it’s fun when I have guests over for a little short film “mini festival” and it would be great to play the official Sundance trailer from that year beforehand, adding to our movie night experience. It could be an attribute of the collection, perhaps under the ‘Advanced’ tab.

There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option to specify preroll videos per collection, playlist or library. I suggest you comment / vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.

[Feature Request] Custom Pre-Roll Settings for Playlists/Libraries/Collections

As a feature suggestion, it would be nice if you could select custom pre-roll sequences for certain playlists, libraries, and/or collections. The thought behind this being that if you have generic pre-roll that you want to play, you could put it in the existing setting, but if a specific Playlist/Library/Collection play to have that play either an alternate or additional pre-roll. For example, you create a generic ‘PlexRocksPreRoll’ pre-roll and set that in ‘Settings > Extras > Cinema Trailers …

Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
