First time I’ve been here so apologies if I’m in the wrong place and asking something answered somewhere. But, I have searched everywhere for an answer. I have Plex on my NAS and when I browse via the TV I see loads of folders that disrupt user experience. All I have on my NAS is Movies in a movie folder. All I have in Plex are Movies in a Movie folder. but when I look at the TV I see loads of folders like, ‘by first letter’, ‘by director’, ‘by artist’ etc etc. All I want is the folder with the movies in and all the others to get deleted. Is there a way to do this please?
It sounds like you’re accessing your Plex Media Server through a DLNA client. For those, Plex is trying to emulate some of its regular features by including those extra folders… there’s no option to change that.
Have you considered simply using the native Plex app on your TV or a connected streaming device (if there’s no native client available for that particular tv)?
DLNA isn’t a particularly great experience…

Yes, I am. Ok I now know I cannot do what i want to do. I will try the TV app. But, I guess this means I will be using the internet to connect to my NAS and the movie will stream, via the internet, to my TV. Correct? Whereas atm I am simply streaming from the TV to my PC via ethernet. It’s this latter method that I want to use.
No. What makes you think that?
