Cant remove certain unneeded folders

I have been using ‘another streaming server’ for the past year or so and needed to move to something better since my old server was having issues running certain formats/encodes. after installing plex, i noticed that all my movies run great, subtitles and all that. its just that i hate the way plex is showing folders and items i dont care or need to see. Im not using plex for photos or music so i dont need to see that. same with video channels, shred video, remote video, water later, etc etc. But i cant seem to find where i can either turn that off or remove it. I already have my folder structure set up the way i like and for the most past, plex recognizes that and runs with it. I just need to click on plex, then have to click on videos, then have to scroll all the way past unplayed, recently added, on deck, by genre, by decade and all that bloat to click on “by folder” to see my existing structure.

ive tried looking thru the library settings and see nothing that allows me to turn any of this off. i also cant seem to find a config file either that might help. so, is there a way to turn this off ??

thank you

If you are using a generic DLNA client to access the Plex server, then you will always see these virtual folders. There is no way to hide them.

Consider installing and using a “real” Plex client (if available for your device).

thanks. i was using the media player on my xbox one to stream from my other server but it appears that the plex works fine. lot of button clicks to get to the movie i want, but i guess i can live with that.
