there is a show listed in the “TV Shows” section that I cannot delete. It’s called Planet of the Apps. I get "there was an unexpected error deleting this item. Does anyone know how to delete this show?
I don’t think it’s about that particular show… more about something with the files/folders related to the show in your library.
- Do you want to remove the show from your library folder or via Plex Web?
- Is that particular show having some different permissions compared to the other shows?
- Have the files been moved since the last scan of the library folder?

alternatively you could take a look at the Plex server log shortly after you get this error (Settings > Server > Help > Download Logs – should be in Plex Media Server.log).

It’s buggy… since July 2017.
work around:
go to server computer - end Plex (wait a minute or so) - restart Plex - delete file.
Yea, by that time you could probably just delete the file, but if you ever want the delete from the client to work again you have to restart the server so it releases the files it has locked up.
For some reason the problem corrected itself. Oh well.
