Desktop Plex no longer playing many videos

I have Plex installed on my desktop and connect to it through my Shield, my phone and an Android tablet. Last night for some reason the desktop player stopped playing many of my videos… I’m just getting a black screen with audio only. I was also getting strange messages saying my server couldn’t keep up with the transcoding on both my Shield and my Android phone, which I’ve never received before, and was getting just black screen videos from them also. I re-booted my router, which seems to have helped with the phone and Shield issue, and then reinstalled the Plex desktop (I didn’t uninstall and re-install the client, I wrote over the app that is already installed because I didn’t want to take the risk of losing all my data). I’m still just getting black video on my desktop server for many of the videos (not all of them, strangely) and only audio. Has anyone experienced this before and know of a fix?

Which player and version number are you taking about.

Your data is on the server and a player app would have nothing to do with it ,so not clear what you mean.

I’m sorry, I get very confused between the differences between information on the server and the web app. The desktop web app I’m using is Version 4.100.1. Is this what you’re wanting?

What do I need to do to get another response from support re: this issue?
