Development Question

I was wondering if someone could help me out with the XML templates.

 

What I want to do is to add a "cover flow" view to the "On Deck" movies section, just like in the iTunes movies section.

When I understood correctly, I'll have to use

 

     

     

 

for this purpose, just like here -> https://github.com/finkdiff/ATVBrowser-script/blob/master/assets/MoviesGenreGrid.xml

 

It is quite frustrating since I don't know why it is not working. The log doesn't show any errors, I guess because it is a valid XML.

I would really appreciate it, if a developer of PlexConnect could point me in the right direction. Thank you!!

 

BTW I translated Elans project in german and made a change in the "On Deck" TV Show view. This can be found here -> https://github.com/danielboecker/PlexConnect/tree/german-translation

I also added a "Unwatched" Count for TV Shows as a subtitle in the grid views (see attached screen) but not yet committed this.

Is there a place where the different github links (iBaa, Elan etc.) can be stored?

You can make pull requests for changes e.g unwatched badges is a planned feature, so if codded well could be merged in; it will be interesting to see if this looks better than e.g. badges.


Also localizations are planned (the idea is to make it so that it will automatically change it to match your ATV setting.

Btw what is the difference with the redesign (I am not near my ATV)?

Badges and localizations would be awesome! I could help out with the German translation when the functionality is available.

Elan's redesign looks and fells more like the iTunes Apps.
With my redesign I tried to make it look more like the iOS / Web App

Start screen incl. On Deck and recently added (little bug with the movie posters in on deck)

Interestings ideas, especially with regards to on deck being more prominent.

It is good to see that people are thinking about improvements.
