Start tv section with unwatched instead of on deck.

Personally i can't stand "on deck", i find it annoying.  Is there any way to change defaulting to on deck for tv to defaulting to unwatched?

and btw.  amazing work. you guys have allowed me to go back from the turd that is roku to the appletv i've loved for a number of years.

You are running a test branch of code.

The coming release on the main branch is slightly tweaked

I too would love to simply enter everything at either unwatched or all movies/TV shows instead of "on deck", not even sure what "on deck" is supposed to be?

Brilliant work though, I sold my ATV3 and went back to a revo for XBMC until PlexConnect was pointed out, soon got the ATV3 back, absolutely brilliant, netflix and plex side by side on the same remote, finally. :D

I rather like the On Deck feature!

It lists the shows/movies that you've already watched a part of, but also when you recently watched ep 4 of season 1 of show 'x' it will list ep 5 of season 1 of show 'x' in the On Deck part, quite handy too...

Shame that with the changes now PlexConnect is not usable anymore :(

ahh, perhaps I have not watched enough stuff for the "on deck" to become apparant. Keep re installing and tinkering at the moment. I might learn to love the on deck feature now it is explained :D

I too would like to have Unwatched as default view.

It is possible to do this. I have Unwatched as my default view which helps with the WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor).

This does require you to do some minor changes to an XML file.

All you need to do is edit the file TVSectionTopLevel.xml, it can be found in your plexconnect folder under assets/templates.

Save the file.

I don't think you even need to exit plexconnect to see the change.

Enjoy.

Thanks, I have been wondering this and looks like this will suite my needs cheers mate.

Thanks this worked, just changed min from 1 to 0 and my sections now open to the all section by default.  Thanks so much!

I tried editing this using TextEdit, but running into a formatting error. How do you make the update and save the file? Appreciate any help/guidance, thanks!

On Windows 7 I use Notepad++. Not sure if that mattered.

Same here

Thanks all ... I'm on Mac and downloaded TextMate and saved as xml which solved the issue (file format when saving via TextEdit).

Can someone tell me what I have to change for the new Release? The code is different there:

Thanks!

You can now turn off on deck in the settings tab in plexconnect.

Ah ok, thats even better, thanks :-)

Just seen it's added-Great!

So i updated to the new version but my question remains. What do i have to change so it starts with unwatched? Its nice that i can disable on deck but now its start with All Movies or All Series. I want it to start with unwatched like before. Please help.

MovieSectionTopLevel.xml:

Change the 0/1 by just adding 1 to each.
Pretty much the same in TVSectionTopLevel.xml

I have change it to now. Did you mean it that way? I'll test it later. Thanks alot :-)
