After updating last night to Version 1.7.2.3878 playback on my Roku 3 stopped working. Playing on Android phone is still fine.
Roku 3 starts counting up buffer to 99% makes a short sound then starts counting up from 13% again and hangs. If I select force direct play video plays with no sound. All was fine with set up before the update.
This is happening with all MKV files I have tested I don’t have any other types of files.
I rolled back to latest non plex pass and it is working again, I did not try to update again yet to see if it was an error with the update or the update process install
Hmmm, I have no problems with playback of any of my files on my Rokus. I am running Version 1.7.2.3878.
There must be something else going on.
Details might help. Also logs would give some more info.
You can get your Roku logs by going to http://AddressOfYourRoku:8324/logs after a failure and while the app is still active and then copy the text to a text file. For more detail on Roku logs see:

Just to add another data point I, too, am running 1.7.2.3878 and had absolutely no difficulty playing .mkv files on either my Roku 3 or my Roku 4 box.
