Earlier this week my Roku stopped playing back files from my Plex server. A day later all of a sudden it began working again. That is until yesterday. It again stopped playing my files and through this evening hasn’t started again.
When a file is selected it will buffer to 33% and hold there.
The Windows firewall is set to allow Plex through. The Plex server software is up to date. The server and router were also rebooted.
Any suggestions on what might be happening and how to correct it?

It’s now been over 10 days since my roku hasn’t played plex for me. can anyone from plex please let me know what’s going on! I’ve checked the Allow Insecure Connections and it’s set to On same network. I’ve also set the roku log to remote. this is becoming frustrating. others I know aren’t having this problem. it also wont play on my fire tablets and only occasionally on my android phones. PLEASE respond.
I’m having the same issue as well. It seems that the audio transcoding is bugging out for some reason with the new Plex update that was released in the past week because the same videos that I watched played perfectly fine, but all of a sudden don’t work this week and get stuck at 33%. I am suddenly having this issue as well. 33% then I get “multiple playback errors” Everything was running fine. The I upgraded 15 days ago noticed the issue and upgraded again last night. Still not fixed. I will note that if I go and force direct play it will play the movie.
How do force direct play?
