Different way of inputting PIN?

Is there a different way to input the PIN other than selecting the digits with the remote on the Android TV app? People could see what the PIN is if they are watching, which destroys the purpose of the PIN, imo…

I’m on a Sony TV running android and I can use the numeric keypad to enter my pin.

There’s a feature suggestion for a better / more private handling of the PIN input (e.g. ranging from using the remote (+ hiding the input) to using the Plex app on a separate device)
