Is there a way to include a feature in Plex that works in conjunction with wireless outlets that dims the lights when a movie or show starts? I could see this eventually being configurable to percent dim, on/off, different outlets, etc.
Allowing full control and programability of Z-Wave devices via Plex would be pretty sweet.

I wish some developers would get some interest in this. Plex already gives you outside access, would be grand if it could directly change lights/thermostat, maybe even function as a home security/video server so we didn’t have to have our videos stored on third party servers, let ecobee/nest see we like it hot.
I think that this is outside of the scope of this project. You can accomplish this using a HomeAssistant automation or NodeRED flow.
This type of thing is what webhooks is for
