Please either drop Opus or allow us to disable using it for transcoding. Editing the client xml profiles has no effect since it seems that the only thing that Plexamp and the Plex Android apps support is opus transcoding for music streaming.
Why would I want Opus when using bluetooth devices connected to Android? Why does it matter that Opus is theoretically better if just by using it I’m adding another transcode step. 1st: Plex forcefully transcodes to Opus, 2nd. Android transcodes Opus to AAC for bluetooth transmission.
I want to be able to have Plex and Plexamp receive AAC <=256 kbps transcodes to avoid unnecessary quality degradation from additional re-transcodes.
